Pizzazzed Burger Recipe with Herbed Sweet Potato Fries

Cook Time: 20 minutes (if don't freeze, otherwise 40 minutes)  Difficulty: Easy

Burgers have to be one of our family's favorite meals, all kinds!  You can make a burger out of practically everything (meat, beans, vegetables, etc.), and according to daysoftheyear.com, May is hamburger month.

One of our favorite burgers is our Pizzazzed Burger, made with our special Pepper Pizzazz Seasoning Blend!  For years at our swim club cookouts, people would ask, "What seasoning did you use in the burgers?...They're amazing!"

In celebration of hamburger month, this mouth-watering burger recipe will have your guests asking for seconds.  We have made this basic recipe with beef as well as ground chicken and turkey.  It's a must have in your recipe arsenal. Add our favorite toppings (mustards, ketchups, or special sauce combinations) for a delicious tasy burger.

Short on time?  Purchase frozen burger patties from your local grocery store, and sprinkle Cherchies® Pepper Pizzazz on top.  Instant flavor (this is what we used to do at our swim clubs for those impromptu cookouts).

So fire up those grills...it's burger season.  What's your favorite burger recipe?  We'd love to hear from you!

Ingredients

Preparation

Saute the onions in olive oil.  I don't always do this step (Ok, sometimes I get lazy). Fresh finely minced onions are just as good.  Set aside.  Add remaining ingredients plus the cooked onions to a large bowl.

Mix with hands to just combine.  Shape into patties and place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.  Next, use your thumb to make a little well in the burger (Thank you Rachael Ray for that tip).  Freeze for about 30 minutes.  My hubby swears by this step, but I've made them without freezing.

Turn grill onto High then low after grill has heated up.  Cook to desired doneness.

Serve with our Herbed Sweet Potato Fries, Festive Deviled Eggs, and Strawberry Spinach Salad for a complete meal.  Enjoy!

Hot Pepper Cream Cheese Recipe

Pretty Hot Pepper Cream Cheese Recipe

I'm sure many of you have heard of serving hot pepper jelly over cream cheese as an easy appetizer.  How about sweet and spicy Pretty Hot Peppers over cream cheese?  Easy, elegant, and only two ingredients (three if you count the crackers).  Like it sweeter?  Try our Pretty Peppers.

My children hate peppers, I try to disguise them as best as possible when I'm cooking, but they LOVE LOVE LOVE Cherchies® Pretty Hot Peppers and/or Cherchies® Pretty Peppers, especially served this way as an appetizer. They're perfect in eggs, casseroles, salads, crab cakes, dips, and so much more.  You need to try them too!

Can't decide?  Try them both:)

Ingredients:

Preparation

Spread cream cheese onto a plate.  Spoon the Pretty Hot Peppers or Pretty Peppers over top the cream cheese.  Or, be daring and dollop one half of the cream cheese with Pretty Peppers and the other half with Pretty Hot Peppers and let your guests decide:)  Enjoy!

Serve with crackers.  Easy Peasy...done!

Our Favorite Memorial Day BBQ Recipes

Happy May!

This is my favorite season.  Flip flops, sunshine, lemonade, barbeques, swimming, and spending quality time with the family to unwind, and of course Memorial Day, the unofficial beginning of summer.

I wish Memorial Day came at a different time of the year, so it could receive the recognition it deserves, rather than the last Monday of the month of May, a month filled with celebrations...Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day, graduations, school coming to an end, and according to daysoftheyear.com, May is officially Barbeque month!

But then again, our celebrations are possible due to the gifts that have been bestowed upon us from our servicemen and servicewomen, past and present.

Let us reflect, May is also a month to remember those who have fought for our freedom. "Thank you to every serviceman and servicewoman who has given their all to guarantee us the wonderful freedom we enjoy. May we never forget nor take for granted what their sacrifice means to us!" - Jan C.  Well said!

In honor of May and freedom and National BBQ month, we wanted to share our favorite recipes to make your celebrations easy peasy.  So celebrate your freedom this Memorial Day with a BBQ surrounded by your family and friends, and say thank you to those who serve and have served our glorious country!
